RE: ODRL tools

Within the IPTC, we have been working on an experimental library to generate ODRL documents. It is available via github:

It is an experimental pure Python library which lets you create ODRL http://www.w3.org/community/odrl/ and RightsML http://dev.iptc.org/RightsML documents. It supports XML and JSON encodings (it targets the "to be approved" XML encoding). Ontology support is planned.

I'm about to publicize it for the first time at the IPTC face-to-face meeting here in Beijing. But this also seems as good a time as any to announce this to the W3C ODRL CG as well. We would be happy to work with others on evolving this (plus we are working on Javascript and Java versions too).

We have at UPM an API plus a (limited) ODRL expressions editor, but we have not mantained the git repository.
If interest exists, we may publish both during the summer.

Also, is there a 'wish list' of things that the ODRL community believe would be useful tools to have available that don't currently exist?

Feel free to add ideas to the above page to capture new tool/service requirements.
