- Publication and Section Titling
- Publication sections titles (e.g. chapter) often include many components, such as chapter number, chapter title, and subtitle. This is commonly marked up as h1 with spans or h1-h3. For example:
<header><h1>span class="chapterNumber"><Chapter X </span>
<span class="chapterTitle">Chapter Title: </span>
<span class="chapterSubTitle">Subtitle</span></h1></header>
- Defining a uniform method that demonstrates the relationship of the title elements would enable cleaner markup that improves display and usability/discoverability.
