Data Model
needs to be updated so that
- there are no timestamped triples
- timestamped graphs are extended to triples (g,p,t) where p is the predicate that relates the timestamp to the graph
- systems that add timestamps would make it explicit by a suitable predicate
- change of model has knock-on effects for the rest of the note
Dataset
Discussion around use of default graph, named graph and time-varying graphs.
- Is there a way to merge just the static data, rather than the static and stream data?
- Need to discuss what it means to merge datasets
Still to define
- window to stream operators
- aggregate operators
- Effects on timestamp for stream-to-window, window-to-stream, and join operators, What timestamp should be on the resulting data? Need to define each operator.
- Model allows us to more accurately capture the semantics of the timestamps
- Will need an ontology for capturing the various timestamp predicates; there is work in the SSN/OGC W3C group
- Could also extend http://www.w3.org/TR/owl-time/
