Debate/EMEinHTML
From Restricted Media Community Group
Position: W3C should NOT allow EME to be in scope for HTML5
The position is that W3C should not deem that the HTML5 charter includes the provision of links from HTML5 pages to external DRM systems.
Support
- DRM is going away. (DRM is going away anyway so no point in working with it)
Opposition
This position statement is part of an attempt to get the debate about EME in HTML on the web in a crisp and clear and unbiased way, in the wikipedia tradition of unbiasedness, but in more the form of a debate. This position was originally derived from the TAG meeting [whiteboard notes.] This is related to the work of the Restricted Media CG.
