Welcome to the Livestock Data Interchange Standards Wiki
This Wiki is editable by users of the Livestock Data group, and is intended to support our activities in standards development.
The impetus for this site came from a DairyNZ project on Dairy Industry Network Data Standards, and a workshop on animal data standards in which participants identified their areas of interest.
Participants identified three main areas of interest:
- Identification of animals (and other industry entities such as farm enterprises and land).
- Animal Life Data or static and slowly changing attributes of animals.
- Observations and Actions being records of animal events and measurements
