Animal Life Data

This is a data dictionary - it doesn't cover XML representation or how the data is represented in any form, nor how it might be extended. We'd value your thoughts on this.

We have organised the fields into three categories:

• Animal Attributes - information about animals that is valid throughout their lifetime (though it may not all be definitively known when the animal is first recorded);
• Animal State - information about an animal that may change over time (for instance, whether it is alive, neutered, or subject to a withholding/withdrawal period for a medicine); and
• Group Membership - what groups the animal belongs to for farm management, analysis, or other purposes.
