Manage and optimize energy flow

From Linked Building Data Community Group
  • Title: Manage and optimize energy flow
  • Description: generate a series of set points for distributed generators and controllable consumption elements based on the results of the optimization of energy flow. The optimum will be calculated depending on consumers’ patterns, energy tariffs, estimated energy demand, distributed generation technical features, etc. The result will indicate whether is better to produce energy locally rather than purchase it from the grid, which is the best use for local energy storage elements or how should be the energy produce by distributed generation systems.
  • Data Domain(s): Building and Design, Building Data, Energy, Weather
  • Objectives: The system will continuously gather data from monitoring devices and evaluate other parameters that affect energy demand. By means of simulation, it will generate a set of possible solutions for the energy balance in the smart grid, selecting the best solution and accordingly, managing energy flows in order to reach that scenario. Through complementary services the right signals will be sent to users.
