• As ARIA text-alternative attributes are allowed to most elements, they should also apply here. Role="link" is implicitly set to area-elements. But those are not mentioned in the Success Criterion or its related techniques.

    • Default Implicit ARIA semantics: role=link
    • ARIA roles, states and properties which may be used: global aria-* attributes and any aria-* attributes applicable to the link role. [specs.webplatform.org]
  • Link 4: Link text must be descriptive
