Success Criteria

3.1.7 Form Auto-Fill: The user can have the following information stored and used to auto-fill form fields by request: (Level AA)

  • user's name
  • user's email address
  • user's phone number

Test Procedure 1

  1. Check whether there are preferences or other controls that let the user setup an autofill function that will automatically fill-in form fields. (e.g. by exploring the UI or consulting Help documentation).
  2. If one is present, fill in at least the name, email and phone number.
  3. Open a test document that contains text entry areas labelled with label elements "First Name, "Last Name", "Email", "Phone".
    Sample HTML test document: Sample form with form controls including "First Name, "Last Name", "Email", "Phone"
  4. Begin to enter your name in the "First Name" box.
  5. Check that the user agent auto-fills (or provides the option to auto-fill) the "First Name", "Last Name", "Email", and "Phone" fields.

Expected Results 1

  • Check #5 is true
