Success Criteria

3.1.4 Spell Check: The user can have spelling assistance for editable text in rendered content. (Level AA)

Tests

Test Procedure 1

  1. Open a test document that contains a text entry area.
    Sample HTML test document: Sample form with a variety of form controls
  2. Enter text into the text entry areas (with at least one spelling error).
  3. Check that the user agent provides a mechanism to detect the spelling error (e.g. underlining the spelling error in the text field, providing a check spelling option, etc.).

Expected Results 1

  • Check #3 is true
