Success Criteria

2.1.2 Show Keyboard Focus: Every viewport has an active or inactive keyboard focus at all times. (Level A)

Tests

Test Procedure 1

  1. Open a test document that contains enabled elements (standard form fields, buttons, links)
    Sample HTML test document: Sample page with form controls, buttons, links
  2. Connect a keyboard (corded, Bluetooth-connected, etc.) or keyboard emulator.
  3. Check that as you navigate the UA user interface, an indicator of the current focus location is always visible.
  4. Check that as you navigate the enabled elements in the content (standard form fields, buttons, links), an indicator of the current focus location is always visible.

Expected Results 1

  • Check #3 and #4 are true
