Success Criteria

1.8.5 Allow Zoom: The user can rescale content within top-level graphical viewports as follows: (Level A)

  • Zoom in: to 500% or more of the default size
  • Zoom out: to 10% or less of the default size, so the content fits within the height or width of the viewport

Tests

Test Procedure 1

  1. Identify methods of zooming (enlarging or shrinking the content (e.g. by exploring the UI or consulting Help documentation).
  2. Open a test document that is sufficiently long to extend beyond the viewport

  3. Scroll in to enlarge the text by 500%. You may use a screen ruler or typographic ruler to determine the size of the text.
  4. Check that the text has enlarged by 500%
  5. Shrink the the document until either the entire width or height of document is visible in the viewport.
  6. Check that either the entire width or height is visible in the viewport.

Expected Results 1

  • Check that both #4 and #6 are true
