Success Criteria

1.8.12 Allow Same User Interface: The user can specify that all top-level viewports (e.g. windows or tabs) follow the defined user interface configuration. (Level AA)

Tests

Test Procedure 1

  1. Identify methods controlling whether content opening in a new window will have the same user interface configuration such as toolbars, menus, statusbar, etc. (e.g. by exploring the UI or consulting Help documentation).
  2. Set preference to force all windows to have the defined user interface configuration.
  3. Open a test document with a link coded to open new window without the user's interface configuration
    Sample HTML test document:
  4. Check that when the new window opens it has the defined user interface configuration.

Expected Results 1

  • Check #4 is true
