Success Criteria
1.1.4 Provide Configurable Alternative Content Defaults: The user can specify which type(s) of alternative content to render by default for each type of non-text content, including time based media. (Level AA)
Tests
Test Procedure 1
- Identify types of content that have textual alternative content (e.g. by exploring the UI or consulting Help documentation).
- Open a test document that contains examples of these types of content that have alternative content (e.g. images with alt text, abbreviations with expansions, etc.).
Sample HTML test document: Alternative Text with multiple types of alternatives on the same image or element - For each example:
- Check that a preference or other control allows you to display the alternative of the non-text content (e.g. image, video) and
- Check that a preference is available to set each type of alternative as the default to display.
Expected Results 1
- Check #3 is true for each content example tested
