• An International Program Office (IPO) at the W3C
• Funded by government (DoE), commercial and non-profit organizations
• Coordinate and help
  • development of technologies: formats, protocols, etc.
  • creation of guidelines for the use of technologies
  • education and awareness of content and tool authors
  • new R&D projects
