CSS level 3 & modularization

Goals:

• Parts of CSS can be used for other things than style
  • Use selectors in other languages
  • Use the Webfonts system on its own,...
• More detailed media types, e.g.:
  • Not simply 'handheld', but a handheld with a particular kind of screen
• Style properties for non-text documents
  • SVG (graphics), MathML, SMIL (multimedia),...
  • also non-W3C formats
