Submission request to W3C


We, representatives of Electricité de France hereby submit to the Consortium the following specification comprising the document(s) linked below:

  1. Navigation through LINK elements in HTML (available in both English and French)

which collectively are referred to as "the submission". We request the submission be known as the "Navigation through LINK" submission.

Abstract

This document outlines a set of proposed extensions to HTML that we believe are necessary to allow users to follow LINK elements in a HTML document. Such a mechanism, very simple, will promote the use of this HTML element and reinforce the structuration of information on the Web.

Intellectual property Rights

Electricité de France agrees that the submission may be copied, modified, and distributed by W3C staff and W3C members as part of the W3C process. Electricité de France claims no copyright interests in the documents comprising the submission.

Specification

The submission may distributed within the membership of the W3C free of any fee.

Implementation

The following points should be noted as regards licensable technology involved in any third party implementations of the technology specified in the submission: None

Suggested action

We suggest that the Consortium work on the proposal as part of the HTML WG activities.

Resources

To help with this work, we expect to be able to provide one non-resident editor to the Consortium.

Change control

Should any changes be required to the document, we would expect future versions to be produced by W3C process.
