This is the home page for a task force of the Web Payments Interest Group the is looking at developing community around the topic of digital offers on the Web, including coupons, vouchers, loyalty, points, rewards, discounts, etc. Questions? public-webpayments-ig@w3.org.

Goals

• Build community around the topic of improving the Web for digital offers, including loyalty, coupons, rewards, points, and vouchers.
• Understand what web standards could help address priority industry challenges.
  • The plan is to launch a W3C Community Group (see draft charter) to identify industry challenges and how Web standards could help address them.

Timeline

• 9 September: Task force meeting
• 9 September: Send discussion topics for feedback (based on email template from Ian)
• 14 September: "Target date" for feedback
• 16 September:
  • Task force meets to discuss feedback. @@decide who will edit charter@@
  • Task force sends materials TPAC participants (topics and feedback; draft charter)
• 22-23 September: FTF meeting of the Interest Group
• 3 October: Review revised proposal with the Interest Group
• 10 October: Launch Community Group (see draft invitation to join)
• January 2017: Report on state of digital offers on the Web
• May 2017: Gap analysis of key Web component needs
• September 2017: Incubated specification available
• October 2017: Propose WG Charter to Membership
