Since the W3C Process Document includes confidentiality provisions, and extends member benefits rights to employees of Member Organizations, we do not grant IP-address-based access to the networks of Members such as Colleges and Universities, since students generally have network access.
We recommend that faculty and other employees register for personal passwords using our Form. We will then ask the Advisory Committee Representative to approve these applications individually. We are happy to receive a list of pre-qualified applicants. We are also willing and able to extend membership privileges to students, where the Advisory Committee Representative has verified that the student will abide by W3C confidentiality terms, and will be representing the Member.
