XLink
- A namespace (usually prefixed as "xlink")
- Attributes in that namespace that define linking semantics
- Two classes of Linking elements:
- Simple (HTML like)
- Extended
- XLink processor understands the constructs
- Application defines the behaviour
- XLink not just for browsers
