Painters Model
- Paint is applied to the area provided in sequence
- If two primitives draw in the same area, the second will paint over the first
- If either is not opaque, the two primitives will be composited
- For groups of primitives, it is as though the group was drawn on a virtual canvas
- The virtual canvas is then painted on the area provided
