Rationale: Do you mean HTMLElement.properties? That's defined by WebIDL, since the attribute is readonly.

Sorry, I missed that, mostly because there is no reference to <http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/#htmlelement> from the Microdata section.
