In the current prose of HTML5.1 nightly, Editor's Draft 2 December 2013 http://www.w3.org/html/wg/drafts/html/master/forms.html#input-modalities:-the-inputmode-attribute It is not said if inputmode="verbatim" is supposed to cancel or not the autocorrect feature of a browser. It might be good to clarify it. cf discussion on https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=943690
