Currently, both manual and automatic revocation of Blob URLs can result in ill-defined behavior, since references to Blob URLs despite revocation isn't solidly defined. Discussions commencing at http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-webapps/2013AprJun/0461.html may lead to modifications to the fetch spec. that allow a reference to a Blob to be "pinned" before the algorithmic steps return.
