...to help people decide where best to add content. Media wiki has a script for generating a sitemap, at http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:GenerateSitemap.php, so we could perhaps leverage this.

We need to get a sitemap going. It will help get the topic hierarchy stuff in place and search engines find their way around as we move things around. There is an extension available [1] for generating dynamic sitemaps. So we wouldn't need a cronjob setup for the default script. So this is another possible solution.

Question as to whether a sitemap should be generated automatically. Sent out an email for discussion today.
