Basic authentication seems to be broken in checklink. It asks for password correctly but the authentication never succeeds.
See also some discussion in bug 116.
Just checked the equivalent with the validator - now, it also asks for "Intranet" and no longer this concoction of the https-URL "httpswwwprivaspherecom..." it did before, but it still works there...
I've found the problem; the online link checker won't currently send the authentication outside the .w3.org domain. This will need a configuration option, so bug 127 blocks this one.
Fixed in CVS revision 3.6.2.5.
When will v 3.6.2.5. be deployed? Today, http://validator.w3.org/checklink still says version 3.6.2.3?
Probably when validator 0.6.2 is out (whenever that'll be, shouldn't take too long, though).
still seeing 3.6.2.3 :(
Yes. Grab a newer version from CVS if you need it.
