ISSUE-409: Font family of default means monospaceSerif
Font family of default means monospaceSerif
- State:
- CLOSED

- TTML IMSC 1.0

- Description:
- Similarly, it doesn't make sense to specify that font family of default means monospaceSerif as a document requirement; it is an implementation requirement. Also, this is probably inappropriate depending on the language market; e.g., in the Japanese market, it should be monospaceSansSerif or proportionalSansSerif.

Related notes:
TTML1 states "if the generic family name default is specified (or implied by an initial value), then its typographic characteristics are considered to be implementation dependent."
IMSC1 specifies the typographic characteristics of those implementations that conform to IMSC1.
