ISSUE-164: managing x-role extensions

managing x-role extensions

State:
CLOSED
Product:
TTML 1.0
Raised by:
Sean Hayes
Opened on:
2012-03-12
Description:
The TTML specification allows vendors or other interested parties to specify private role names using an x- prefix. Given the recent debate over vendor prefixes in CSS, it would probably be a good idea to revisit this concept and potentially allow a single extension registry (e.g. a W3C wiki) that provides a lightweight mechanism for users to coin new roles, share previously defined ones, and promote interoperability.
