Collaboration with PM-KR CG
Discussed collaboration with PM-KR CG and group decided is not a good fit. It has unclear objectives and doesn't fit with current charter work. Chris will respond to the email.
client test open issues.
We now have some automation to open/close issues based on conformance requirements in the spec and what's in the tests. Will be using going forward to manage the github issues.
We have 4 volunteers to work on tests I've assigned issues.
IFT encoder updates.
Garret: main updates are the new addition of zero config option to the encoder which lets IFT fonts be produced in one cli call where segmenter config options are picked automatically for you.
Scott: is the two phase creation still possible?
Garret: yes, the preexisting creation process still works the new zero config is a new optional feature.
Garret: also recently incorporated the dependency graph done by skef.
Skef: previously adobe had concerns about the closure only encoder, now with recent progress including the use of depedency graph we are happy with how things are going.
