Definitions review
Fredrik: Looked at DAF. Need URL for TAG screener
matatk: w3ctag/
matatk: Or direct web link: https://
Fredrik: Should we differentiate between WCAG and WCAG 3 in the definitions?
matatk: So far I have just WCAG (current)
Fredrik: WCAG 3 seems to have more of a 'FAST' approach compared to WCAG 2.
matatk: That sounds good - the FAST could be in harmony with WCAG 3 by providing the bits that are relevant to spec authors.
Fredrik: Agree, that's the main thing we can do, to be the spec author's plug-in.
Fredrik: It looks like UAAG and ATAG are being covered by WCAG 3 - particularly ATAG. So FAST could take a similar role as a complementary spec.
matatk: That's one interesting possibility - don't to pre-empt too much, but per the rough defn I had, we want to give guidance to spec authors to ensure the things built with them can comply with WCAG, this reminds me of a couple of things: our classic alt text example, and this more recent proposal...
matatk: This example is more grey than the alt text one, and interesting. We want people to think about how they could go further in their spec to reduce the work needed in products to meet WCAG.
matatk: We should try to encourage spec authors to think along these lines.
matatk: Feedback we had already asked for examples...
matatk: Next steps: complete definitions, decide on work items we need help with.
