Erik: Looks good, with the example of SVG

Alain: I'm OK with it

Data binding restrictions on <output/>

https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-xformsusers/2025Oct/0001

Steven: Remove the restriction?

Alain: agreed.

ACTION: Steven to remove binding restriction from output

What to do when an <output> link fails

https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-xformsusers/2025Oct/0002

Steven: Should we keep it the way it is? Should output-error have any context information?

Erik: Ideally you would know.
… It would be good if the event had context information.

Steven: We don't supply a complete list of possible errors, so should we just supply an error-message?

Erik: You might not know that actual source, just that it has failed.

Steven: I see that binding-error only has error-message, let's do the same for output-error.

Erik: Sure.

ACTION: Steven to add error-message context info to output-error

Steven to add 'data' to glossary

https://www.w3.org/2025/09/26-forms-minutes.html#aeef

Steven: I have trouble finding a suitable definition

Erik: Instance data is a big subclass

Steven: The reason we're doing it is to make clear that we're talking about more than just text nodes.

Alain: It's not just instance data, because it might also be the output of the output control.

Steven: I'll think about it more this week.

AOB

Next meeting next week.
