Meeting minutes
<nzimmermann> good morning :-)
Caribou: Mike Smith updated the spec a couple of times.
Caribou: Francois also updated to the publishing process to GitHub.
caribou: the owner of the domain name would be happy if W3C could take ownership
(People introducing themselves)
Dirk: the charter is quite clear this is only a maintenance.
Dirk: How's the time for the meeting? How frequent should it be?
caribou: we could discuss this at the end of the call.
Karlcow: the time and frequency are fine for me.
Ragvesh: fine too.
Ragvesh: I was not expecting to have precise issue to discuss this time. I thought it was just reintroductions.
Dirk: Hope to receive agenda items on Monday for the next meeting.
Dirk: Let's hope that you are already setup for GitHub.
Dirk: Let's start next week with 15 minutes later.
… and make the meeting 45 minutes later.
Karlcow: are people interested in converting the spec to bikeshed or respec.
Dirk: It could be a lot of work.
… but if you volunteer, I have no issues.
Tav: @@
Kirk: There are metadata which would be interesting to keep in the spec.
caribou: the benefits of using Respec is that it is very close to HTML.
… and there is a lot of boilerplate coming for free
… There are references issues to fix and issues to link with CSS.
… SVG2 refers to CSS 2.1
… moving to respec would give an opportunity to fix the links to the right places.
Dirk: bikeshed helps to link to the test references.
nzimmermann: many of the tests are not yet in WPT.
… Cameron gives examples on how to convert tests to WPT.
Dirk: It would be great to have a presentation on how to convert the tests.
Karlcow: Would people like to meet in Kobe?
(Some people can participate/some will not be able).
Tav: One thing I would be concerned if the tests are HTML only, it makes it hard to test for us.
Nzimmermann: good point.
Dirk: It's a format which can run both in browsers and outside of browsers. It's an additional constraint.
Dirk: we could try an hybrid meetin.
caribou: breakout during the Tech Plenary could be organized as an hybrid meeting.
