Meeting minutes

Minutes

https://www.w3.org/2025/02/12-wot-uc-minutes.html

McCool: seems to be no issues with minutes, will publish.

Logistics

McCool: let's look at the official schedule at https://github.com/w3c/wot/blob/main/planning/schedule.md

McCool: currently we are targeting March for a Note, may be a little tight now. We need to do some cleanup in the Requirements section still. But I want to do it before I leave in May. Maybe slip it to April?

Ege: I will also be away for two weeks in May. What do we want for content?

McCool: suggest we do what we can by mid-April, then publish. Ideally we get some more user stories but we do not need ALL user stories from TD.

McCool: but we probably should aim to have another version in September/October with a more complete set of user stories.

Mizushima: would be good to publish an update

Ege: new features only?

McCool: new features at a higher priority, but eventually I would like to back-fill in motivations for existing features, e.g. I already mentioned doing that for Discovery.

PRs

McCool: let's look at w3c/wot-usecases#262

McCool: (reviews, makes some edits)

McCool: main thing here is that the "Use Case" label should cover use cases, user stories, and use case categories; TF should break up as appropriate

McCool: (merged)

McCool: (adds link from the README)

McCool: next, from Jan, some typo fixes in w3c/wot-usecases#332

McCool: thanks, looks good (merged)

McCool: next, here is a PR to update the template to use sections for other WoT specs: w3c/wot-usecases#331

McCool: (tested on Jan's repo) - renders correctly, but I noticed that one of the lists under "Problem" should be nested one step deeper.

McCool: (makes some edits to fix the above problem).

McCool: regarding https://github.com/w3c/wot-usecases/pull/329, I will try a test case
