Meeting minutes

Visible label in Name; related Verbose examples

Kathy Brought PR to our attention for everyone to look at. Meeting two weeks ago when item was brought up, folks wanted more time for background research. Then bring it back up today.

welcome Vartika to the group

<Kathy> act-rules/act-rules.github.io#2075

Kathy PR 2075, just wanted a change to see if everyone got a chance to look at it. Question is regarding the number of examples. 15 examples seemed like a lot. Any concerns for implementers there, get a sense of if there were any comments regarding it.

Sage seems like a lot more than what they have seen

Kathy thinks it makes it more challenging for implementers, if examples are needed, wanted to make sure they were needed.

Wilco One or two might seem unnecessary, the rest seem reasonable

Wilco should take this to the WG

Kathy Are they going to need to review the algorithm?

Wilco They will be excited about the examples and we will need to email them

Kathy doesn't know if the examples we have rely on an external algorithm

Kathy if everyone can enter their reviews, we will be good.

update from f2f meeting

Wilco F2F meeting was productive, a lot on disability support. Introducing a new process on this as well. Agenda item for next week. Opening up issues for each accessibility support item.

Wilco Hoping to create issues for these, for accessibility support so we can have test cases for things with inconsistencies between browsers. In response, we want to record test results

Wilco gives us a mechanism to track issues over time.

Wilco says Helen and @Kathy working on manual rules

Helen: there have been updates. Productive, needs to give review of issue.

<Kathy> act-rules/act-rules.github.io#2301

Kathy used examples from existing pull

Wilco presentations were given

Wilco explaining test suite to the group

Wilco discussing different presentations

@Wilco Lots of PRs to be worked on if people want to stick around

Wilco anyone have any questions?
