Meeting minutes

Logistics

Sebastian: If you are not in the emailing, let Kaz know

Kaz: Originally, the expectation for the new mailinglist was sharing delicate information like the VPN password. Do we want to include everyone in this call to the emailing list?

Sebastian: Yes everyone who attends the plugfest call

Kaz: I didn't understand it this way. I thought it was only for those who bring devices

Ege: I think anyone who is attending the plugfest, should be there

Kaz: Please make a resolution about it because it's a big change of the malinglist's purpose, and then let me know who to be added.

proposal: Existing emailing list for plugfest should be used for contacting all the participants of the Plugfest on monday and tuesday

proposal: Existing emailing list for plugfest with the email address group-wot-plugfest@w3.org should be used for contacting all the participants of the Plugfest on monday and tuesday

RESOLUTION: Existing emailing list for plugfest with the email address group-wot-plugfest@w3.org should be used for contacting all the participants of the Plugfest on monday and tuesday

<kaz> [NOTE: should say "logistics information in general" ]

New Participants

Vignesh: I work at Garching in Laser Lab of LMU. I do software development and use WoT. I am bringing a linear stage (left-right movement), a camera and an oscilloscope. I have TD for all of them. I also use node-wot

Sebastian: Sounds very interesting, thank you for joining

Sebastian: No other new members from what I see

Sebastian: I will go on with the minutes

Minutes

<kaz> Nov-13

Sebastian: any comments on the minutes?

Sebastian: Minutes are approved

Agenda

Location

Sebastian: (shows the Siemens Building)

Sebastian: you need 15 minutes to walk to the Siemens building from the subway station
… you can walk through the building you see to the left of the subway station
… don't be afraid as there are many constructions happening
… if you need to bring big things, let me or Ege know about it

Mizushima: What time does the registration start?

Sebastian: No need to worry about it, they already have your name. It should not take long

Kaz: Could you add more information to the wiki, e.g., the campus map, the entrance and the registration desk? If it's difficult, you can simply add a link to the campus map from your web page.

Sebastian: There will be food for lunch, snack style. You can get some warm food if you pay extra

Sebastian: there is also a lab tour organized, it is optional of course

Sebastian: On tuesday, we may need to be distributed

Sebastian: On wednesday the demos will be distributed on the ground floor

Sebastian: There are a lot of places to sit if you are just an observer

McCool: Is there a Zoom link that can be used?

Sebastian: There is MS Teams available in the room

Kaz: Can the remote participants use Teams?

McCool: a calendar invite with teams link would be nice

Ege: It would be the best if everyone tests team

Sebastian: we have rooms booked for people to sit in different rooms to do focused work

<kaz> [ Kaz suggests Sebastian check the detailed usage of Siemens' Teams call setting later, e.g., possible breakouts. ]

Sebastian: there will be 80-100 people attending and also the press will be there

Kaz: We should add information about who have registered to the event

Kaz: Should we make the registration public to all?

Sebastian: yes, the wiki is public anyways. The page is also public

Kaz: You said it should not be made public right?

Sebastian: yes but not anymore. We have some places left still

Kaz: So first come first serve?

Sebastian: Yes

Sebastian: Please provide your slides by 26th of November
… I need time to put them into one slideset
… you will be called to the stage and things need to happen smoothly

Sebastian: We will print the posters on Wednesday morning

<kaz> [ Kaz reminds that people should upload their TDs also beforehand. ]

Sebastian: (shows the gala dinner location)
… you can walk, take subway or use the shuttle bus

Sebastian: Sadly Erich is not here but he will provide the information on where to go exactly

Sebastian: maybe some will take a plane on friday
… so we should adjust the agenda

Technical Information

Sebastian: there is now also an internet access without any registration

Sebastian: please provide your TDs at the folder

Ege: if you cannot make a PR, please send me your TDs or markdown files

Kaz: deadline for submission is Friday?

Sebastian: not necessarily but at least on monday would be nice to have the TDs already

Kaz: so everybody is encouraged :)

Kaz: The list of Things and Consumers on the README.md has "contact" information, but it might make sense to have another list describing which participant belongs to which organization.

Sebastian: can get all the necessary information from the wiki and the Readme.md

Sebastian: Have a nice trip and see you on Monday

<kaz> [Plugfest call adjourned; TD call starts at 5mins past the hour]
