Review of change proposals

Norm: Changes made to help with diff

Norm: Editorial change - ids on headings

Steven: A request made long ago which I did, so that you can click on a heading to get a reference to that heading

Status reports

Norm: I will work on a C# version next year

Steven: I've added renaming to strings

John: I've fixed error reports of hex numbers

Use pragmas for the prolog?

Norm: Pragmas need scope.

Steven: And how to identify where a pragma applies

John: I think a pragma in the prolog at the start should apply to the whole grammar.

Norm: The Balisage paper solves this

Steven: I definitely need to reread that then

John: Pragmas in the prolog should have a different syntax

A subtraction operator

[John explains his subtraction proposal]

<norm> invisibleXML/ixml#249

John: Do we want to handle cases like the one Nico proposed for excluding "XML"

Norm: If you can recast subtraction as a modification of the grammar, that would be a way of saying it applies to all parsing algorithms.
… but I would be wary of something that we don't know how to do in other parsers.

John: I'm pushing it in programming language parsing.

Norm: We need a generic solution

Steven: Needs research
