Brief discussion of the web crawl for 2024 Web Almanac
matatk: currently no request to domain.tld/well-known/something wouldn't return anything; but is there something useful for us?:

matatk: We don't have enough data on how many pages would fail with this approach; 1% we can go forward, but 20-30% would block the approach
Abhinav: Agrees; believes will be less than 10% and the trajectory is more and more sites
matatk: OK, understand you don't believe it's the vast majority of sites; though a significant but small percentage wouldn't work with this approach
matatk: So still worth pursuing
matatk: one other option is to take hybrid approach; prefer well-known, but fall back (or in addition) use rhel
matatk: But that takes us to the sustainability problem above and have come to dislike the hybrid
matatk: We were thinking of rhel to identify portions of a page;
matatk: There may be a workaround to querry only when user needs

matatk: Good news is that author of well-known wants to work with us
