<bruce_bailey> Note to self for the W3C MM

<bruce_bailey> https://w3c.github.io/maturity-model/

<bruce_bailey> FWIW, I think Equity being fully integrated into W3C MM (as compared to an extension) would make the W3C MM more attractive to feds.

Summary of what was discussed off IRC:

Sheri reviewed how to approach documenting equity for the maturity model. She proposed that the current Accessibility Maturity Model be expanded to include Equity.

Evidence.

The alternative is to have an Equity Extension.

She was chatting with David Fazio at the time who raised the point that with Large Language Models (LLM) equity is a significant concern.

So, what we are doing as the Equity CG is adding example items under Evidence (known as Proof Points -- David Fazio noted that in Latin America, proof points doesn't translate well)

verything here that we can think of for now — then we can review and revise language and placement, such as figure out which dimension it belongs to.

We can each do this offline outside of the meeting(s).

In the Equity CG Github, we've collected resources which may be reviewed to look for example evidence: https://github.com/w3c/equity-cg/blob/main/README.md

<bruce_bailey> Any public-facing examples of industry (or others) using/adopting W3C Maturity would be helpful.
