Scott continues to work on responding to GitHub issues. Janina continues to work on changes to the draft based on Scott's research from earlier this year.

Jason and Janina note the intention to prepare a first public working draft that at least identifies open issues. Minutes from the TPAc discussion are forthcoming, if not already posted.
Janina will start looking at MAUR after updating CTAUR.
Jason will add any new issues that come to mind, after reviewing GitHub.
COGA is expected to request a key word for characterizing descriptions of video intended for cognitive purposes rather than for users who are blind or who have low vision.
Jason notes the need for a clear characterization of how these descriptions would differ from those currently offered for nonvisual use.

Janina notes that the Web of Things meeting minutes from TPAC have been posted.
Janina: they seem interested in proceeding quickly, so we should review.
Jason: they're interested in use cases; it became clear we have a broader scope, and thus may develop use cases taht would be beyond their ambit.
Janina notes a metadata-related request from EPUB to be discussed by APA.
Janina: there may be a CfC on that issue - partiicpants should note.
Miscellaneous topics.
Janina is planning to work on interlinear and expert handler use cases. In the case of the latter, this would address MusicXML.
Jason notes recent machine learning activity, including privacy issues associated with GPT-4 image recognition.
Jason expects machine learning to be applied widely to caption generation, image analysis and similar tasks. Accuracy is a problem, but it will likely reach the point of being adequate for most circumstances, and the output of the models may be corrected by human content creators.
