Meeting minutes

Well-known URI proposal for accessibility.

Jason and Scott were the only meeting participants today.

We agreed that more detail is needed concerning what should be researched by RQTF in connection with well-known URIs.

Jason noted that there is an IETF specification and an IANA registry for them.

Contrast research request from Accessibility Guidelines Working Group.

Scott noted that his organization may be in a position to help with comparison of color contrast algorithms.

Jason will request a reference to the color contrast proposal that is under consideration for comparison with the current contrast algorithm used in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.

Jason will make the request for clarification.

Collaboration Tools Accessibility User Requirements.

We agreed to start commenting on open issues, notably those raised by the COGA Task Force.

Miscellaneous updates and topics.

It was agreed that we should revisit the CAPTCHA topic after TPAC.

The recent CAPTCHA research (cited on the RQTF mailing list) was also noted.

Jason: It remains unclear whether an agreed-upon solution avoiding the need for CAPTCHA is emerging, and what can reasonably be said about the current state of the problem.
