PaulG: There was a large discussion about internati8onal support for couterstyles and not overruling author preferences and so on.

PaulG: There would be a link to the issue here. Full spec would be adding all otehr counterstyles.
matatk: There seems to be a root issue under the heading Counterstyles.
matatk: I doubt it will come up on our radar. It's been flagged for i18n to track.
PaulG: COGA would have things to say about using appropriate counterstyles.
janina: Lisa did make a comment about counterstyles about ten years ago.
janina: It's in the Protocols and Formats archive, still out htere.
matatk: I think we should look up that work.
