Updates and coordination.
jasonjgw: Have been contacted by XR researchers who want to coordinate in our research
jasonjgw: Includes folks from Benetech...who are on West Coast time
janina: Will be hard to push a coordination meeting with them much later due to other meetings
scott_h: Would be willing to make a later meeting work if need be
janina: Not sure if we are just talking about one meeting or a series of meetings
jasonjgw: Stille waiting on a reply on what they were thinking about as far as scope
jasonjgw: So far the W3C XR work is on low-level infrastructure
jasonjgw: For now we will continue discussion via email
jasonjgw: Another update some of the new GPT work around image processing
jasonjgw: Perhaps in the coming months more will be forthcoming in the AI research realm
jasonjgw: Personal testing on AI engines thus far has been fairly good...seems like a good move in the right direction
APA update
janina: The CTAUR commentary is still in waiting
janina: cannot really move forward until we get comments
janina: Association of transcripts with media objects was left out of the HTML5 spec
janina: Hoping we can pick that topic back up and get developers interested
janina: Plan to lay out a joint agenda for working with DPUB to work this in
janina: Getting something together by time of TPAC in September sounds possible
janina: TPAC wants meetings set by sometime in May, so we need to start getting those in the hopper
janina: Could perhaps think about working it into MusicXML
janina: AI could also help in synchronization
jasonjgw: Will create a wiki page expanding media synchronization
janina: Need to knowledge that some things exist, but that some aspects supported in the spec have not seen much implementation
jasonjgw: Use case of simultaneous access to translation of song translations while listening in the written language.

janina: Talked with Gotfried about MATTER vs the Web-of-Things specs which seem to be in competition
jasonjgw: Suspect that the APA is waiting on feedback for the proposed charter
jasonjgw: Our work is going to be contingent on that foundation clarification being figured out
