Meeting minutes

2023 Update and Planning

Janina: has been announced in the APA we will go for Call for Consensus next week

<janina> Homepage(drafting): https://www.w3.org/WAI/APA/task-forces/maturity-model/

<janina> Task Force email: public-maturity@w3.org

<janina> Mailing list at: https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-maturity/ <https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-maturity/>

Janina: , APA is rechartering.
… , public-maturity is proposed as our mailing list we can have pubic-maturitymodel
… , we have time to think about this.
… , Roy needs from us who is a Maturity Model question vs. RQTF person.

Sheri_B-H: what about guests like Jean.

janina: Rechartering for APA will take us into the summer
… , Maturity Model will need to be in those deliverables

<janina> https://github.com/w3c/apa/blob/charter-2023/charter.html

janina: , APA would like to be done with this charter by the end of Jan. so it can be handed to W3C management.
… , some point we will change our new Zoom address for W3C overall instead of MIT
… , doubt there will be any major changes for the charter.

Fazio: I can get Roy the list for the Maturity Model TF

check in with Jake’s updates

Jake isn't here so we will table this until next meeting. I didn't see anything thing from him.

discuss dates to meet with Jason

janina: I have talked to Jason and OK for the 18th.

Fazio: Sounds good.

janina: I will give him the invite. Anything of our dimensions have a web aspect and should make this clearer.

Fazio: Looks like an organizational model but focuses on the web.
… , We can hear more from him then.

janina: if we get this right. why this model vs. other models. Jason can compare and contrast like iso versions etc.

Lionel_Wolberger_: Do you have a way fwd on this objection?

Fazio: every organization component has a web flavor to it.

jlkline: this is an enabling tool

Fazio: how it is associated with the web.

Lionel_Wolberger_: I think we have very firm ground to stand on.
… , is there anything similar in the w3C?

janina: I am not sure. We are further out there than anything else.

jlkline: there is a development processes, could be an expansion on that.

janina: Jason doesn't think we made it strong enough with ties to the web vs. organization focus.

jlkline: I believe he wanted it more technical. Just need to be careful we don't go too far down into the weeds making it technical vs. policy, technology agnostic.

new business, questions, comments, concerns

charles: any updates on the excel spreadsheet

Sheri_B-H: I will work on it this week.

CharlesL: I can't seem to find the spreadsheet link from the draft

Multiple people: agree we need to make it easier to find.

Brian: nothing new, no updates here.
