Meeting minutes

jim: maybe ask Janina about inviting Paolo to APA TPAC session

debbie: will review APA work in one of our calls

debbie: we probably won't organize a voice breakout session

jim: should think about going in person next year

dirk: needs to add a few more sentences before reviewing interfaces

implied requirements

https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-voiceinteraction/2022Aug/0004.html

jim: any agent should be able to interoperate with any other agent
… general to general, specific to general, all combinations

dirk: some specific assistants may not be able to exist on their own

jim: IPA's should be able to switch back and forth

dirk: is switching between IPA's the same as interoperating?
… say we have a bank IPA, it should be possible for Alexa to forward the request to the bank IPA
… but the bank IPA may not know about the general purpose IPA
… but Siri and Alexa should be able to interoperate

jim: interoperability has several meanings

debbie: should bank IPA be able to ask Alexa for an exchange rate?

jon: host agent should be able to send you to the exchange rate

debbie: users should not have to write anything down

jim: want to switch between agents and share data

jim: want specialized IPA to be able to call general IPA

debbie: how does specialized application understand you?

dirk: interoperability needs to be defined in more detail

jon: hub and spoke architecture

jim: the purpose of discovery is to figure out where to go

debbie: people can both navigate and discover
