Meeting minutes

ITS meeting

dbooth: Proposed changes were approved.

https://www.w3.org/2022/08/17-hcls-minutes.html
… Eric has been drafting the changes: https://w3c.github.io/hcls-fhir-rdf/spec/v2

Concept IRIs

gaurav: Should we add an "iri" type also?
… to the HL7 terminology website?
… I'll also make a jira ticket to propose the change.

rob: How are you planning to use extension?

gaurav: Both code systems and naming systems used IRIs.
… We were trying to hack it into the identifier scheme, but later thought it might be easier to add an extension to existing scheme.

rob: Extension is available, but the only reason to do that would be if IRI stems are not identifiers.
… Raises a big issue if you do it that way. Might negate part of the value of having it in UTG, because it will be hidden, unless work is done on the publisher they won't be visible.
… NamingSystems call them uniqueIds.

dbooth: What about the type? uri vs iri vs string?

rob: On this afternoon's vocab, we'll discuss that.

https://build.fhir.org/codesystem-namingsystem-identifier-type.html#content

gaurav: Could also ask for IRI to be included in the list of identifier types at https://build.fhir.org/identifier-registry.html

dbooth: good idea. Please file a jira issue.

rob: Yes, that's reasonable.

gaurav: How to handle these changes in jira? Does it need to go through a committee first?

rob: Depends.
… Those would be handled by the FHIR-I group: http://www.hl7.org/Special/committees/fiwg/index.cfm

gaurav: Leadership here: http://www.hl7.org/Special/committees/fiwg/leadership.cfm

ACTION: Gaurav to write up two jira issues and reach out to FHIR I leadership about covering them on Monday's call.

gaurav: One issue to add "iri" to Code systems. The other issue is on the known identifiers page, add IRI

Other issues

houcemeddine: Interested in SNOMED issue #51

<Github> https://github.com/w3c/hcls-fhir-rdf/issues/51 : SNOMED Expressions in FHIR RDF

ACTION: DBooth to clean up the issues list.
