alcooper: background: Intent is to allow google model viewer to mimic what apple's model viewer does
alcooper: Meant to be a privacy preserving way to capture content, also find some way to do this on headset
alcooper: other alternatives (e.g. media streams) may not work well on headsets
Nick-8thWall: What are the use cases for headsets that would be compelling enough for a feature?
Ada: Some people want a way to do this on headsets, have some hacky ways to do it involving encoding on device. A compelling feature would be to draw from a non-viewer camera.
alcooper: Drawing from a non-viewer camera may be hard to support in existing runtimes on headsets.
cabanier: not a priority for oculus but maybe nice to have, could be more helpful in the world of passthrough
alcooper: would like to see it go forward but lower on the list of Google's current priorities

bajones: For api shape, may want to have a collection of anchors that are saved and restored together
bajones: theoretical fingerprinting concern?
ada: Is this any different from local storage and setting a cookie?
bajones: Need to think about this some more.
ada: Is this anchros level 2 or further work on current module? No preference.
Nick-8thWall: difference from local storage is "I'm now at a place that I was before." Need to think through what that means.
