MC: Narrowing down things to make things clear.

BB: Need to be explicit about content

MC: Wonder if we need to clarify. BB: all for drawling lines about scope.

*drawing lines

MC: Are we happy with this or need to have people look this over?

<bruce_bailey> +1 to circulate for a week

MC: Take this and look this over the week and come back to this and sign off to this.

<SuzanneTaylor> +1

<jeanne> +1

MC: Move to Item 2. Plan for completing XR caption work.

<mikecrabb> https://w3c.github.io/silver/subgroups/xr/captioning/functional-outcomes.html

MC: List for functional outcomes with link above
... Figure out where gaps are in Editor draft.
... Will do a gap analysis this week to come up with to-do list.

<CharlesHall_> fyi (somewhat unrelated), we now have our first US lawsuit against the lack of captions in VR: https://sheribyrnehaber.medium.com/this-week-in-accessibility-first-lawsuit-filed-over-lack-of-captions-in-vr-f82c21337d16

MC: Will try to complete by tomorrow to send out on Monday and discuss next Thursday.

JS: If we wrote methods for outcomes we could include them in the First Draft.

ST: Asked if we can add new outcomes. JS: Can add new pages but can't link from main page

<bruce_bailey> @charleshall, thanks for that!

<CharlesHall_> @bruce, it helps demonstrate the importance of this work

JS: Probably won't be able to publish until mid-January

MC: Item 3. Short-term planning for items in the new year. What type of direction do we want to go into next?

JS: Right now, we don't. Probably not until things are (hopefully) published and receive feedback.

<CharlesHall_> regrets, i have to drop by 10:30a ET

MC: Will need someone to take over chair of XR group by next year. Or change meeting schedule.

<CharlesHall_> i added groups to that list in a comment

<jeanne> Notable in the article Charles printed is the list of W3C XR mod

<jeanne> https://sheribyrnehaber.medium.com/this-week-in-accessibility-first-lawsuit-filed-over-lack-of-captions-in-vr-f82c21337d16#7f46

MC: We can convene meeting today early.
