Agenda Review & Announcements

Good news, John Folio to rejoin!

Various approaches in Working Draft document (Paul & Mark)

Paul: first public working draft will include a wider range of content to show SSML to be marked up in the various approaches.
... Then we will distribute.

<janina> https://genius.com/Ernst-toch-geographical-fugue-lyrics

Mark: working on technical document

<janina> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTaQlfiX5DQ

Paul: we want multi-attribute or JSON

Mark: include 2 proposals in the document

Paul: refer to postings in the notes for content suggestions
... need to ensure that content that is used is in the public domain
... try to create similar dramatic readings as those posted and then compare to show what can be done
... will keep looking for content that would be best for a demo
... goal to put the code in the spec and audio in the document as well

Mark: include an excerpt from the content

Paul: SSML has an audio track, do we want to embed ambient sounds as well as TTS?

Mark: we could add audio

Paul: use case -- something that has been sonified

Mark: there are cases where the sounds are only relevant if in the speech
... Insert a chime or tone in a message. Chime or tone followed by the message. We could have an example of this.

Paul: Leaning toward using The Raven for content.

Mark: will provide the alert message example
... will work on structure for JSON.

Joint meeting with publishing group

<SteveNoble_> have to jump over to another meeting

Irfan: Suggestion made to have a separate meeting. Coordination efforts in progress.

Janina: suggest this hour

Irfan: Will continue working on scheduling.
... try for next week

Janina: we have two more meetings after today for this year.

Upcoming Meetings

already covered

No other business.

<paul_grenier> Thanks Dee!
