What is missing for the FWDP?

<AndreaPerego> https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-dxwg-wg/2020Oct/0086.html

general discussion about the feedback received about the versioning section

AndreaPerego: we can ask if they see any issues in the solution/vocabulary terms we are proposing

discussion that we should reply referring to the new version as well as all the points raised

AndreaPerego: can take the action to prepare a draft response and we can discuss about it later
… today focus on checking if we are ready for the FPWD

Action: AndreaPerego to prepare reply to comments in https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-dxwg-wg/2020Oct/0086.html

<trackbot> Created ACTION-435 - Prepare reply to comments in https://lists.w3.org/archives/public/public-dxwg-wg/2020oct/0086.html [on Andrea Perego - due 2020-11-18].

FPWD milestone

<AndreaPerego> https://github.com/w3c/dxwg/milestone/27

riccardoAlbertoni: we need to decide what issues to postpone
… and which ones to address now
… some issues have been addressed and others require feedback

<riccardoAlbertoni> https://w3c.github.io/dxwg/dcat/#version-info

riccardoAlbertoni: should we close the issues for which we have some solution (even if draft)?
… it is possible that someone comes up with a solution that wasn't considered before, but I think they are pretty stable
… these issues that I think could be closed are #91 and #92
… can we established a common approach so that we can be consistent?
… which issues should be mentioned in the spec and which ones should be closed?

AndreaPerego: the approach to be used should be: closed issues that are discussing some aspects in a general way and keep open those that are specifically included in the editors' draft
… version delta, version identifier were issues coming from the requirements and were general
… we've tried to address them in this new version (after they were open for over 2 years)
… in order to proceed, it would be better to have these issues closed and open new issues on the specific aspects
… but issues like incompatibility about versions, should be kept open as it is referring to the content of the new section

alejandra: agreed

riccardoAlbertoni: for version delta, there is a part of the discussion that we haven't yet included in the section

AndreaPerego: then create a new issue for that

alejandra: I agree, and suggest that the new issue should link back to the original issue

riccardoAlbertoni: yes, and also leave in the draft the open issues

riccardoAlbertoni: shall we vote on the issues we want to close?

alejandra: we could close those issues that we think are complete, but not close those that need a new issue until we do that

<AndreaPerego> proposal: keep only issues referring specifically to the content of the new versioning and dataset series section, close general issues, and create new issues if necessary

<AndreaPerego> proposal: keep open only issues referring specifically to the content of the new versioning and dataset series section, close general issues, and create new issues if necessary
