<jo_> last meeting https://www.w3.org/2020/10/14-md-odrl-profile-minutes.html
Mark: proof of concept breakout last Wednesday, work on-going
Jo: both those actions were completed
RESOLUTION: Accept minutes of last meeting
Mark: had a good group for the
breakout, the highest result is that there are 3 groups Ilya
for PoC / Atiq for another and Roy Kaplan for another. Ilya,
Atiq would aim at Dec, Roy expecting more time
... will try to measure my presentation
... each PoC lead is going to present to this group
... Ilya will be presenting today
... Atiq & Roy will present on the next session (11th)
Ilya: I didn't realise I was
going to present, our PoC is an internal project for an
Entitlements enforcement Engine for applications or other
applications, if the use case is (or not) authorised. Dependent
on on DAX(?) as the source of entitlements
... OpenDAX(?) is rather inflexible, trying to create an API
within our client applications
<John_Ikel> FYI - DACS ;)
<NigelP> OpenDAX == Open DACS
Ilya: use a combination of the
permission mapping from OpenDAX(?) and overlay an ODRL licence
and merge the 2, and then apply it as an entitlement decision
on the client side
... DataBP originally was going to create a web server, but for
now it will be static
Mark: probably it is the inverse,
that it is currently poc as static, but by end of January it
will be a web server
... put it down as an action for credentials and specs for that
service
... Atiq & Roy I will send it for you as well
<jo_> ACTION: MarkB to send out credential to PoC team leads
Mark: if you want to generate dynamic ODRL contracts, if you can check, that would be great
Jo: what are we doing about documenting?
Ilya: we aim to share a use story, validate with a small group to validate the right direction, then distribute to the broader group
Jo: fortunately sharing by mail
has picked up, which is good - keep it up
... concern was expressed of sharing views in public
groups
... what can be done about a list that won't be indexed or is
private
... W3's policy is that everything is done in the public eye,
offered one that is not indexed by search engines
Ilya: preference is pure email, not captured in an archive
Jo: Mark back to you
<jo_> ACTION: Jo to check archive status of public but not indexed list (needs to be non-archived)
Mark: Ilya mentioned preparing a
user story, important because it might be when he presents the
user story, the language might need to be extended. The
breakout group felt that it is important to focus over the
language in terms of priorities
... I think that's all for now
Ben: I have a question that might be premature, if I would call your ODRL service, what identifier would I use to pull the licence ?
Mark: I would prepare a login, different from Roy's ...
Ben: and I just pull some licences?
Mark: and it is dynamic
... Atiq & Roy will be presenting in 2 weeks
Ben: Atiq nor Roy are on the call
Jo: Mark can you follow up with
them
... questions for Mark or... Ilya ?
... hearing none, that's 2 items on the agenda in 1
Jo: so there is now to you ben on test cases
<ben> https://github.com/w3c/market-data-odrl-profile/blob/gh-pages/Test-Cases.md
Ben: set an ambition on trying to
get to 50 test cases, and by that I mean 50 questions that get
passed around market data space. And with that I am trying to
capture them for 2 reasons: 1) what is the scope and 2) make
sure that we define the language that can answer those
questions in scope
... we are now on beyond 60, which is a fantastic effort
... what I really like to ask is: I don't know if people that
know these questions well and if they had a chance to look at
the page and assess if they are representative of the kind of
questions you are asked on a regular basis or if we are just
missing
Laura: yeah, they are although some are not specific to our case. Pretty spot on.
<jo_> ACTION: MarkB to check that... Atiq and Roy are aware of the request to present the PoC streams in 2 weeks time
Michelle: I haven't been through the list since last week, but it looked comprehensive.
Olga: they seem to be broad enough to address different aspects of the process
Ben: they are beginning to form into patterns, I will be doing some work reviewing if they are repetitive and group them in patterns
Mark: can I make a suggestion, some of these test cases seem permission or obligation
Ben: really good point, I really support that
John: some of the things I've added are commercial focus around how we use the data
Ben: really good
John: better to have a big set of data, rather than miss the target
Jo: putting them in the parking lot, rather than dropping them
Ben: yes
Jo: very good coverage
... any further gap analysis ? Members from this group ?
Ben: they are the experts, if
they could have a look - anyone else on the call if they can
see
... will add to the richness of queries
Jo: that's the link on the chat
Aaron: looks fairly comprehensive, I'll have a look
Jo: great, any further comments
?
... we've ran out of agenda
... move on to AOB
... try to use Zoom with automatic transcription
<jo_> ACTION: Ben to check whether he can open a Zoom account with automatic transcripton
Trisha: just looking at the use cases, seems missing purge of data
John: it is IAtD-12
Ben: <long explanation of Laura's transformation requirements>
Laura: I could do some examples, <describes example>
Ben: we have 3 exchanges on this community group, I'll be seeking answers
